Between 2019-2022, the DDHI developed a workflow for encoding and visualizing data contained in digital oral history archives. This process informs our current work in collaboration with OHMS.
The DDHI prototype involves three stages:
Encoding
A method of digitally processing oral history transcripts so that a computer can analyze interview data. Learn more.
Linking
A method for linking encoded data to external databases. Learn more.
Visualization
Our data visualization demo is an exploratory tool designed for researchers, students, and other users of online oral history archives. Learn more.
